Description

During this 2 day training you will learn how to use the free and open source software QGIS in combination with QFIELD for tree inspection and mapping. After this course you will be able to set up your tree inspection using GIS, manage the geodata and make a printable map that can be part of your tree management plan.

Program

Saturday 11^th of April 8:00 – 16:00

• GIS basics – starting with QGIS, using topo and aereal basemaps
• Geodata management – Organising your data, creating new tree layers and forms
• Working with tables
• Preparing treedata for QFIELD

Sunday 12^th of April 9:00 – 14:00

• Working with QFIELD
• Processing field data

What you need for this course:

• Laptop with QGIS installed
• Phone or tablet with QFIELD installed

After registration you will receive more detailed information about the course, what to bring and how to prepare your self, to get the most out of the training.

The course will be held at Mittatie 14, 01260 Vantaa, on the premises of Puunkaatopalvelu O&L Oy.

The course includes a soup lunch. A vegetarian lunch option is also available; please let us know in advance if you would like one.
